Brittany and Caleb chose downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana for their engagement photos and we had such a blast!! They brought so much energy with them and I could tell they were excited about their engagement and upcoming wedding. I couldn't be any more ecstatic for them and am honored they picked me to shoot their engagement portraits and be their wedding photographer.
I met Brittany last Fall through Facebook while trying to find other photographers who would be willing to teach me a thing or two about photography. It didn't take long for us to become online and texting buddies. She truly amazes me at some of the things she's overcome in her lifetime. After talking for a while, she suggested I use her to practice on and here is a photo from our practice shoot a while back.
For a more urban feel, I took Caleb and Brittany's engagement photos downtown. We started at Baton Rouge Capital Park with its beautiful garden setting.
We stopped by the Pentagon Barracks and took a few photos there. You can find some history on the Pentagon Barracks in downtown Baton Rouge here: Click me!
On our walk to the Baton Rouge River Center, I spotted a brick wall covered in vines with an open window, ever so conviently placed, on the right corner. It looked very fairy tale like to me and we had to stop to get a few shots there.
We eventually made our way down to the old Illinois Central Railroad station (what a workout that was inflip-flops) and took some engagement photos on the vintage passenger train before heading to watch the sunset on the river.
Thanks Caleb and Brittany for such a great experience! I can't wait to do your wedding photos!
